New England Small College Athletic Conference - Basketball

New England Small College Athletic Conference Basketball is the men’s and women’s collegiate basketball competition of NESCAC, an NCAA Division III association of eleven selective liberal arts colleges and universities. Founded in 1971, NESCAC became a playing conference in 1999 and applies conference policies that place athletics in proportion to the academic mission of its members. Basketball seasons comprise league schedules and championship tournaments, with quarterfinals at higher seeds and the later rounds at the highest remaining seed. In 2026, Trinity won the men’s championship by defeating Wesleyan, while Bates won the women’s championship over Bowdoin. The official NESCAC platform publishes competition calendars, standings, tournament information and historical results.
