American Southwest Conference - Basketball

American Southwest Conference Basketball is the men’s and women’s collegiate basketball competition of the American Southwest Conference (ASC), an NCAA Division III league. The conference’s current members are East Texas Baptist, Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. ASC runs regular-season play, conference statistics, all-conference coverage and single-elimination championship tournaments, with its men’s and women’s champions receiving NCAA Division III automatic berths. In 2026, the basketball championships were hosted by Hardin-Simmons: Mary Hardin-Baylor won the men’s automatic bid and Hardin-Simmons won the women’s automatic bid. The 2026–27 championship format continues with events hosted by the highest seed.
