Arizona Interscholastic Association Basketball

Arizona Interscholastic Association Basketball is the statewide interscholastic basketball programme operated by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) for Arizona high schools. The AIA maintains boys’ and girls’ basketball resources, including the State Basketball Tournament Guide, NFHS rule-change material, advisory-committee information and shot-clock guidelines, and assigns a Director of Athletics and Officials to the sport. Its published 2026–2028 alignment lists schools across classifications from 1A through 6A, conferences and regions, providing the framework for regular-season and postseason competition. AIA also runs Unified Basketball with Special Olympics Arizona: teams play interscholastic contests and qualifying sectionals, with leading teams advancing to the AIA Unified State Basketball Championship. The association’s state-championship partnerships identify Wilson Evo NXT as the official basketball for AIA championship events. AIA publishes schedules, alignments, rules, tournament resources, officials’ information and other administration for member-school basketball in Arizona.
