City of Orlando Athletics
United States - Basketball
City of Orlando Athletics is the municipal sports programme within the City of Orlando's Families, Parks and Recreation services. It operates the Orlando Youth Basketball League (OYBL), a co-ed programme for children aged four to fifteen, and Tiny Tots Basketball, an eight-week introductory programme for ages four to seven focused on basic basketball fundamentals. The published 2027 OYBL season runs on Saturdays from January to April, with a registration fee that includes a team jersey. Basketball is delivered through City neighbourhood centres: Dr. James R. Smith hosts Tiny Tots and the younger age group, College Park hosts ages 10-11, Northwest hosts ages 12-13, and Rosemont hosts ages 14-15. The City also lists Jr NBA basketball programming designed to develop player skills for higher divisions and levels, with age-specific locations and participation documentation requirements. Orlando's Sports, Aquatics & Fitness service offers youth leagues and lessons, fitness-centre access and reservable sports facilities, including outdoor basketball courts. This entry represents a municipal athletics programme rather than an independent basketball federation.
