Southern Conference - Basketball

Southern Conference Basketball is the men’s and women’s NCAA Division I basketball competition administered by the Southern Conference (SoCon). The official conference platform provides schedules, standings, results, tournament brackets, broadcasts and championship coverage. In 2026, sixth-seeded Furman defeated regular-season champion ETSU 76–61 to win the men’s championship and NCAA berth, while sixth-seeded Samford defeated Chattanooga 72–67 to win the women’s title. Tennessee Tech joins the SoCon for 2026–27, expanding the men’s league to 11 teams and the women’s league to nine; the men’s schedule is a 20-game double round robin and the women’s schedule a 16-game double round robin. The 2027 Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships are held at Harrah’s Cherokee Center–Asheville.
