Maine Principals' Association
United States - Basketball
The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) is a private educational nonprofit corporation that governs interscholastic activities for member public and private high schools in Maine. Its Interscholastic Division brings together 148 member schools to promote, organise and regulate school activities, and sponsors invitational championship competition across boys' and girls' activities. Basketball is governed within the Association's interscholastic structure through a Basketball Commission and Basketball Committee. The MPA publishes the rules, season dates, tournament bulletins, schedules and championship information for boys' and girls' high-school basketball. Its 2026–27 boys' basketball championship programme covers Classes S, A, B, C and D, with regional rounds followed by state finals. The Association handbook provides for its standing committees to control interscholastic tournaments subject to Management Committee oversight, and specifies that basketball committee members represent three subcommittees. The MPA is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations and is based in Augusta, Maine.
