Los Angeles Expo Center
United States - Basketball
EXPO Center, including the Roy A. Anderson Recreation Center, is a City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks facility in South Los Angeles. Built as a private-public partnership on the former 1932 Los Angeles Olympics Swim Stadium site, the centre includes two gymnasiums, a fitness facility, teen centre, sports field, pools, child-care and senior services. Its mission is to provide affordable programmes and services in a safe environment for every family member; membership is free, with membership required for EXPO programmes. Basketball is one of the Centre's regular sports and fitness offerings, supported by lighted indoor courts. The verified QuickScores portal publishes PLAY LA Summer 2026 youth basketball schedules, standings and results for rookies aged five to six, minors aged nine to ten and other divisions. Games are played in the EXPO Center North and South gyms, with the 2026 summer basketball season beginning on 17 July. The Centre also ran a Spring 2026 Basketball Leadership Academy focused on leadership, skill training and teamwork. This entry is a City recreation facility and programme, not an independent basketball federation.
