Northwest Athletic Conference

The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), formerly the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges, is the governing athletic conference for member community colleges in the Pacific Northwest. Its verified conference materials describe a membership of colleges in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, Canada, and identify NWAC as the body responsible for championship events, eligibility, rule enforcement, publications and sports information. NWAC sanctions men’s and women’s basketball, maintaining schedules, standings, statistics, rosters, historical results and a championship tournament for each competition. The conference’s basketball programme is intended for two-year college student-athletes and is distinct from NCAA professional, university or national-team competitions. This record concerns the conference administrator and its basketball competitions, not an individual member college.
