USA South Athletic Conference - Basketball

United States - Basketball

USA South Athletic Conference Basketball is the men’s and women’s collegiate basketball programme of the USA South Athletic Conference, an NCAA Division III league established in 1963. Originally the Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, it adopted the USA South name in 2003 and remains one of the oldest Division III conferences in the United States. The conference has ten full members across North Carolina and Virginia and sponsors championships in 20 intercollegiate sports. USA South basketball provides regular-season standings, team and player statistics, academic recognition and a three-round championship tournament. In 2026, all men’s tournament games were hosted by the higher seed; N.C. Wesleyan defeated Pfeiffer 84–79 in the final at Pfeiffer University. The women’s championship followed the same 24, 26 and 28 February schedule and was won by Southern Virginia. Official conference pages provide membership details, historical context, schedules, statistics and tournament dates and champions.
