Wyoming High School Activities Association Basketball

Wyoming High School Activities Association Basketball is the statewide interscholastic basketball programme governed by the Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA). WHSAA is a private, nonprofit, voluntary association founded in the 1920s to promote, coordinate and regulate safe and fair high-school activities in Wyoming. Basketball is conducted for boys and girls in 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A classifications. The postseason begins with East and West regional tournaments, then advances to state championships: 1A/2A and 3A/4A events are held separately in Casper at Ford Wyoming Center and Casper College. For 2026–27, practice begins on 23 November, competition on 10 December, and state tournaments are scheduled for 4–6 March (1A/2A) and 11–13 March (3A/4A). WHSAA provides classifications, regional and state brackets, box scores, archives, NFHS rules, officials’ training and NFHS Network streaming information through its official basketball pages.
