Little East Conference

The Little East Conference (LEC) is an NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic conference in New England. It was established as a men’s and women’s basketball conference for the 1986–87 academic year and has grown into a multi-sport organisation sponsoring 24 championships. The LEC’s current membership presentation identifies nine primary institutions, including Eastern Connecticut State, Keene State, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, Plymouth State, Rhode Island College, Southern Maine, VTSU Castleton and Western Connecticut. The official site publishes men’s and women’s basketball standings, schedules, results, championships and historical records; men’s basketball has been sponsored since 1986–87. The NCAA directory lists the LEC as a Division III conference and identifies a men’s basketball coordinator of officials. This record concerns the collegiate conference and its basketball competitions, not a professional league or a national basketball federation.
