America East Conference - Basketball

The America East Conference is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference and an NCAA member since 1981. It administers men’s and women’s basketball schedules, standings, statistics, awards and the America East playoffs for member institutions in the northeastern United States. The 2026 regular season and championship programme included men’s and women’s playoffs hosted by higher-seeded teams; UMBC won the 2026 men’s regular-season title and Vermont won a second consecutive women’s championship. For 2026–27, each league schedule contains 72 men’s and 72 women’s conference games, with quarterfinals, semifinals and championships scheduled in March and hosted by the highest remaining seed. The conference is headquartered in Boston and led by Commissioner Brad Walker. This profile concerns the conference organiser, not a member school, individual team or NCAA tournament.
