Southland Conference - Basketball

The Southland Conference (SLC) is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference and an NCAA member since 1965. It administers men’s and women’s basketball schedules, standings, statistics, awards, broadcasts and postseason championships for its member institutions. The 2025–26 men’s league used a 22-game home-and-away round-robin format for 12 teams, with the championship staged at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana; the women’s championship game followed in Lake Charles. For 2026–27, both basketball schedules again use a 22-game home-and-away format. Men’s conference play begins on 3 December and women’s on 2 December, and the 2027 Air Force Reserve Southland Basketball Championships are scheduled at Townsley Law Arena in Lake Charles from 7–11 March. The conference is headquartered in Frisco, Texas. This profile concerns the conference organiser, not a member university, individual team, its FCS football competition or a single tournament.
