Montana High School Association
United States - Basketball
Montana High School Association Basketball is the statewide secondary-school basketball programme administered by the Montana High School Association (MHSA). Montana boys’ basketball dates to the first state championship in 1911, while girls’ basketball first named a state champion in 1972. Both programmes now compete in four classifications: AA, A, B and C. MHSA coordinates season schedules, NFHS and state rules, shot-clock guidance, coach education and compliance, tournament rosters, district and divisional information, state brackets, results and archives. The 2026 state tournaments ran from 11–14 March: Class AA at MetraPark in Billings, Class A at ExpoPark in Great Falls, Class B at Montana State University’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman, and Class C at the University of Montana Adams Center in Missoula. Its official basketball pages provide the current postseason information and a long archive of boys’ and girls’ championship results.
