United States - Basketball
Kentucky High School Athletic Association Basketball is the statewide interscholastic basketball programme administered by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA). KHSAA was organised in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high-school athletics in the Commonwealth; it is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)(3) association of 291 public and non-public member schools. Basketball competition uses regular-season RPI data, district and regional tournaments, and the 16-team state finals known as the Boys’ and Girls’ Sweet Sixteen®. The 2026 boys’ UK HealthCare Sweet Sixteen® was held 18–21 March at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center in Lexington, bringing together champions from Kentucky’s 16 regions. KHSAA publishes alignment, RPI rankings, statistics, tournament scores and brackets, regulations, rules-clinic material, officials’ information, participant instructions and live-media resources for both boys’ and girls’ basketball. This entry concerns basketball only; the catalogue name’s reference to field hockey is not part of the prepared scope.
