Columbus GA Parks and Recreation

Columbus Georgia Parks & Recreation is the municipal department that provides sports, recreation centres and community programming in Columbus, Georgia. Its youth basketball programme, Columbus Youth Basketball (CYB), is organised to offer a structured basketball experience that promotes fair play, skill development, respect and fun. Participation is assigned by age group, and sanctioned middle-school and high-school players who are on an official school roster at the beginning of their regular season are ineligible for CYB. The Department provides organised leagues, instructional clinics and recreational opportunities for youth, adults and seniors, with programmes intended to support active lifestyles, teamwork and community engagement. Recreation centres serve as community hubs with gymnasiums, fitness equipment and youth programming; named facilities include 29th Street, Boxwood, Carver Park, Comer, Frank Chester, Northside and Pop Austin recreation centres. The Department has also published basketball programme materials and free holiday basketball events for local youth. This entry represents a municipal recreation provider, not an independent basketball governing body.
