City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation

City of Georgetown Parks & Recreation is the municipal department that operates athletic leagues and recreation programmes for Georgetown, Texas. Its Youth Basketball League is a recreational programme for children aged four to 13, with summer and winter seasons played at the Georgetown Recreation Center. The league welcomes all skill levels and focuses on enjoyment, basic skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship rather than win-loss records; every participant is intended to have an opportunity to play. Volunteer parent coaches deliver the programme and must complete background checks before each season. The department uses its TeamSideline portal to provide registration, schedules, forms, league information and communications. Parks & Recreation offers a wider range of youth and adult athletics, camps, tennis and other community recreation programmes. The City confirms that athletic leagues are operated by its Parks & Recreation Department, while the Recreation Center at 1003 N. Austin Avenue provides programme and registration services.
