Empire 8 Athletic Conference

Empire 8 is an NCAA Division III collegiate athletic conference in the United States. The NCAA directory lists Empire 8 as a Division III conference and records its NCAA membership from 1974. The conference administers men’s and women’s basketball alongside other intercollegiate sports, publishing schedules, standings, results, team and individual statistics, awards and championship information through its official platform. In the 2025–26 basketball season, the conference standings included Alfred, Brockport, Elmira, Geneseo, Hartwick, Houghton, Keuka, Nazareth, SUNY Poly, Russell Sage, St. John Fisher and Utica. Empire 8 staged eight-team men’s and women’s basketball championship tournaments from 21 to 28 February 2026, with games hosted by the higher seed; Keuka College won the men’s event and SUNY Geneseo won the women’s event.
