North Coast Athletic Conference

United States - Basketball

The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) is an NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic conference of academically selective colleges and universities. Founded in 1983, it is based on principles of gender equality, broad-based athletics, academic excellence, mutual trust and presidential leadership. Its core membership comprises institutions in Ohio and Indiana, including Denison, DePauw, John Carroll, Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Wabash, Wittenberg and The College of Wooster; it also has sport-specific affiliate members. The NCAC administers men’s and women’s basketball regular seasons, statistics, awards and postseason tournaments. In 2026, John Carroll won the men’s tournament and earned the conference’s automatic NCAA Division III Championship berth, while Denison led the women’s standings and later won the NCAA Division III national championship. This record concerns the collegiate conference and its basketball competitions, not a professional league or national basketball federation.
